The Real True Necron Deck by Xenol

Format: Commander

Commander: Anrakyr the Traveller

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This mono-black artifact-reanimator deck is helmed by Anrakyr the Traveller, whose attack trigger lets you cast artifact spells from your hand or graveyard by paying life instead of mana. The primary game plan is to weaponise life as a resource: fill the graveyard with artifacts via mill and discard, then use Anrakyr's combat step to deploy them for free (in life). The deck leans heavily on life-payment enablers like Bolas's Citadel, Necropotence, and Gwenom, Remorseless to chain spells, while safety nets such as Pact Weapon, Lich's Mirror, and The Golden Throne prevent losing the game at zero or negative life. Win conditions include the drain spell Exsanguinate, the life-fueled Aetherflux Reservoir, combat damage from a wide artifact-creature board (boosted by Cranial Plating and Cybermen Squadron's myriad), and the alternate-win condition of Doctor Doom, Unrivaled when the library is empty. The deck is a value-oriented engine that aims to out-grind opponents through recursion and life-total manipulation.
