Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered 5-color hatebear and stax midrange strategy commanded by Kenrith, the Returned King. Its game plan centers on establishing early mana acceleration through low-cost mana dorks and land ramp, then quickly deploying asymmetrical tax and restriction pieces such as Drannith Magistrate, Grand Arbiter Augustin IV, Thalia, Heretic Cathar, and Aven Mindcensor. These hatebears severely impede opponents' resource development, command-zone access, and search capabilities. Once the table is constrained, the deck transitions into an overwhelming engine using Kenrith alongside Seedborn Muse to untap every turn, generating massive mana and card advantage through Kenrith's activated abilities. A rich suite of creature tutors allows the deck to seamlessly access high-impact Praetors like Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite and Sheoldred, Whispering One, or assemble an infinite mana combo using Selvala, Heart of the Wilds and Staff of Domination. Protected by Boromir, Warden of the Tower, Flawless Maneuver, and efficient countermagic, the deck closes the game decisively on Turn 6.
