Deck overview

Y'shtola, Night's Blessed is the single-faced commander and the engine of this Esper control/drain build. The deck spends early turns on cheap draw, ramp, and interaction, then lands Y'shtola and turns every noncreature spell with mana value 3 or greater into 2 damage to each opponent and 2 life. That drain feeds her end-step draw and works with Sanguine Bond. The primary win is Exquisite Blood plus Sanguine Bond: once both are on board, any drain trigger (usually another Y'shtola-triggering spell) creates an infinite life-loss/life-gain loop. Secondary lines are incremental pings, Bloodchief Ascension or Scrawling Crawler, and Exsanguinate. Y'shtola Rhul acts as a lieutenant, adding extra end steps and blink value. There is no hidden commander.
