Rakdos Start A Riot EDH Deck by MrZurkon

Format: Commander

Commander: Rakdos, Lord of Riots

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Rakdos, Lord of Riots deck built around the commander's cost-reduction ability, aiming to cheat out massive Demons and Eldrazi at a fraction of their mana cost. The primary game plan is to deal early damage via pinging creatures (Vulshok Sorcerer, Vithian Stinger, Nettle Drone) to enable Rakdos, then use his discount to deploy high-impact threats like Emrakul, the Aeons Torn, Kozilek, Butcher of Truth, and Master of Cruelties. The deck relies on combat damage from these large creatures to win, with occasional support from Liliana's Contract as an alternate victory condition. The strategy is straightforward: establish a pinger, cast Rakdos, then flood the board with discounted beaters. The deck lacks fast mana or infinite combos, making it a mid-speed, value-oriented combat deck.
