Format: Commander

Commander: Dina, Soul Steeper

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Dina, Soul Steeper helms a Golgari lifegain/drain deck that converts every point of life gained into direct opponent damage. The primary plan plays a low-curve engine of Essence Warden, Fountain of Renewal, Prosperous Innkeeper, and Pest tokens while Dina and other drain-on-gain permanents punish life gain. The finisher is an automatic two-card loop: Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror pairs with Dina, Sanguine Bond, Vito, Starscape Cleric, or Professor Dellian Fel's emblem. Aetherflux Reservoir and Exsanguinate offer backup. The deck has strong card draw but lacks tutors, relying on Well of Lost Dreams, The One Ring, and Bolas's Citadel to dig. Recursion via Veinwitch Coven and Cauldron of Essence keeps the engine alive.
