Deck overview

This Golgari deck merges classic Elfball swarm strategies with a -1/-1 counter and proliferate engine led by High Perfect Morcant. In the opening turns, low-cost mana dorks and scaling mana generators such as Priest of Titania and Elvish Archdruid accelerate mana while draw engines like Beast Whisperer and Skullclamp keep the hand full. As Elves enter the battlefield, Morcant forces every opponent to place -1/-1 blight counters on their creatures, clearing away opposing utility creatures and commanders. The deck proliferates these counters by tapping untapped Elves or using Yawgmoth, Thran Physician. The primary win condition executes around turn 5 by tutoring or casting Craterhoof Behemoth or pumping the team with Ezuri, Renegade Leader to deal lethal combat damage across the table in a single turn. Backup wins include infinite mana loops with Umbral Mantle and Lathril, Blade of the Elves life drain.
