Uncle Iroh's Lessons

Format: Commander

Commander: Iroh, Grand Lotus

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a Temur Lessons midrange deck helmed by Iroh, Grand Lotus. The plan is to fill the graveyard with Lesson spells, cast Iroh, Grand Lotus, and then repeatedly flash them back for {1} while non-Lesson instants and sorceries gain full-cost flashback on your turn. Firebending creatures and the commander himself generate red mana in combat to fuel further spells, earthbending turns lands into sticky attackers, and Bumi, Unleashed provides an extra combat for land creatures. There are no infinite combo lines; the deck wins through fair combat damage amplified by pieces like Fated Firepower and Overwhelming Victory. Iroh, Grand Lotus is the flashback engine and a 5/5 body with Firebending 2, but the 99 still deploys creatures, Ascensions, and Lessons from hand if he is answered. The deck plays as a grindy value combat strategy that converts a stocked graveyard into repeated interaction and board presence.
