Deck overview

This Golgari deck leverages graveyard self-mill and aristocrat mechanics to assemble overwhelming board states with Aatchik, Emerald Radian. Early turns focus on filling the graveyard using cards like Stitcher's Supplier, Grisly Salvage, and Grist, the Hunger Tide while developing mana through ramp spells and high land counts. On Turn 6, casting Aatchik converts all stocked artifact and creature cards into a large swarm of 1/1 Insect tokens. Whenever these Insects die in combat or through sacrifice outlets like Skullmulcher and Grist, the Hunger Tide, Aatchik grows larger while draining 1 life from each opponent. Supporting pieces such as Bastion of Remembrance and Mirkwood Bats accelerate the life loss, while Demolisher Spawn provides an overrun finisher. The deck features strong recovery through deep graveyard recursion, though it remains vulnerable to targeted graveyard exile and exile-based board wipes due to a lack of reactive protection spells.
