Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius control strategy that wins through poison counters and proliferation while utilizing Heliod, the Radiant Dawn // Heliod, the Warped Eclipse as a mana-discounting flash enabler. The early game focuses on deploying low-cost toxic creatures like Jawbone Duelist, Ichorclaw Myr, and Skrelv's Hive to apply at least one poison counter to each opponent. Once opponents are poisoned, the deck transitions into control and engine development, casting and transforming Heliod to cast spells at instant speed with substantial mana reductions. High-impact permanents such as Contagion Engine, Viral Drake, Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines, and Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite establish board dominance and rapidly advance poison counters toward lethal thresholds. Because the deck avoids all-in combat damage in favor of steady proliferation and disruptive auras, it steadily grinds down opponents behind counterspells and asymmetric stax effects to secure a Turn 10 poison victory.
