Deck overview

Tannuk, Steadfast Second spearheads a mono-red midrange aggro strategy that leverages the Warp mechanic to cheat high-cost artifacts and red creatures into play for just {2}{R}. By granting haste to all other creatures, Tannuk ensures that heavy hitters like Ancient Copper Dragon, Etali, Primal Storm, Balefire Dragon, and Skitterbeam Battalion strike immediately upon entry. Although warped permanents are exiled at the end step, Tannuk allows them to be recast from exile on subsequent turns, synergizing directly with powerful exile payoffs like Passionate Archaeologist, Keeper of Secrets, Nalfeshnee, and Wild-Magic Sorcerer. In addition, utility pieces like Sundial of the Infinite and Conjurer's Closet allow the deck to bypass warp exile entirely, keeping massive threats permanently on the board. Supported by potent rituals, treasure generators, and redirection spells such as Deflecting Swat and Bolt Bend, the deck swiftly overwhelms opponents through relentless combat pressure and massive direct-damage triggers.
