Deck overview

This Golgari Aristocrats deck leverages Meren of Clan Nel Toth to generate compounding graveyard value, persistent board suppression, and high-impact burst damage. Early turns focus on establishing mana dorks, self-mill, and recurring sacrifice fodder like Sakura-Tribe Elder and Ophiomancer. Once Meren enters on Turn 4, the deck builds experience counters rapidly to recur utility creatures and draw engines every turn cycle. Around Turn 5, asymmetric attrition engines such as Grave Pact, Dictate of Erebos, and Braids, Cabal Minion strip opposing boards and mana bases of resources. The primary win condition arrives on Turn 6 by reanimating Yargle and Multani and launching it with Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord, dealing 18 life loss to all opponents and repeating the cycle on Turn 7 for the finish. The deck maintains exceptional card velocity and removal efficiency, though it remains vulnerable to rest-in-peace style graveyard exile effects.
