Deck overview

This Edgar Markov list executes an aggressive Mardu Vampire tribal strategy centered on eminence-fueled board swarms and aristocrat drain. By deploying low-cost Vampires in the first three turns, the deck creates a dense creature army without spending extra mana or relying on Edgar to be on the battlefield. As the board widens, tribal lords like Stromkirk Captain and Legion Lieutenant multiply combat power, while aristocrats such as Blood Artist and Cruel Celebrant convert combat trades into inevitable life loss. A critical onset arrives around Turn 5 through mass pump spells, damage doublers like Bloodletter of Aclazotz, or casting Edgar directly. The list also embeds an infinite two-card life drain combo via Exquisite Blood and Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, offering an alternate win condition when combat is stalled. While resilient to targeted removal thanks to redundant low-cost creatures, the deck must navigate mass exile effects and manage colored mana requirements.
