This deck is a mid-power Dimir control build designed to turn opponents' resources against them. Commanded by Xanathar, Guild Kingpin, the strategy revolves around ramping into high-cost threats that exile and cast cards directly from opposing libraries and hands. Because Xanathar requires a full table pass before activating during upkeep, the deck leverages interactive countermagic and targeted removal like Drown in the Loch and Infernal Grasp to survive early turns. Once online, the deck generates vast card advantage through engines like Elder Brain, Thieving Amalgam, and Tasha, the Witch Queen. However, the deck lacks infinite combos, fast mana, and explosive damage modifiers.
