Burning Mjölnir by user5531379

Format: Commander

Commander: Thor, God of Thunder

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Thor, God of Thunder is the single-faced commander of a mono-red spellslinger deck. Its primary plan is to establish a pinger package (Guttersnipe, Firebrand Archer, Coruscation Mage, Longshot, Rebel Bowman) and then cast Thor, turning every noncreature spell into direct damage through Thor's trigger plus the pinger triggers. Copy effects (Double Vision, Arcane Bombardment) and damage multipliers (Dictate of the Twin Gods, Twinflame Tyrant, Fiery Emancipation, City on Fire) let a few spells become lethal reach. Secondary paths use Rite of the Dragoncaller's flying Dragon tokens, Knuckles the Echidna/Reaver Cleaver treasure beatdown, or a giant Mana Geyser-Season of the Bold chain. There is no double-faced commander or hidden commander; the deck is built entirely around Thor's recursion and damage triggers.
