Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul kindred aggro and resource denial strategy commanded by Kibo, Uktabi Prince. The game plan revolves around accelerating Kibo out on turn 3, using his tap ability to hand out Banana tokens, and then punishing opponents for possessing artifacts. Low-cost sweepers like Echoing Ruin, Meltdown, and Vandalblast turn symmetric gifts into asymmetric board wipes that repeatedly trigger Kibo's ability, showering +1/+1 counters across your Ape and Monkey army. Supporting pieces like Viridian Revel and Pain Distributor convert destroyed artifacts into massive card advantage and direct life loss. While the deck contains immense pressure against artifact-heavy tables and includes late-game land destruction lines via Mycosynth Lattice, its lack of tutors means it primarily wins through overwhelming combat damage across turns 6 to 8.
