Animar, Brain Freeze by user3560885

Format: Commander

Commander: Animar, Soul of Elements

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This deck is a hyper-efficient combo-focused build of Animar, Soul of Elements that aims to leverage its commander's cost-reduction ability to loop creatures like Ancestral Statue and Shrieking Drake for infinite +1/+1 counters on Animar, then deploy a mana-sink payoff such as Walking Ballista to eliminate the table. The deck packs an exceptionally dense tutor suite-Survival of the Fittest, Fauna Shaman, Biring Pod, and others-to assemble the combo quickly, supported by fast mana dorks, free counterspelles, and premium draw engines like Rhysic Study and Mysic Remora. Secondary plans involve Finle of Devastation for an overrun with haste, Ulamg, the Defiler as a massive threat, or simply overwhelming opponents with a giant Animar. The deck is highly tuned for speed and consistency but remains single-minded in its primary win path.
