Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius tap-control and token-swarm strategy commanded by Hylda of the Icy Crown. The game plan revolves around turning cheap tapping effects into high-impact board presence and card advantage. In the early turns, the deck deploys fast mana rocks such as Sol Ring and Mana Vault to cast Hylda ahead of curve on Turn 3 or 4. Once Hylda is on the battlefield, spells like Downpour, Deluge, and permanents like Opposition or Court Street Denizen repeatedly tap opposing creatures. Hylda converts each tap into a 4/4 Elemental token, team-wide +1/+1 counters, or card draw for just one mana. This engine quickly amasses a wide board while denying opponents their attackers and blockers. A formidable interaction suite featuring Force of Will, Dovin's Veto, Swords to Plowshares, and Cyclonic Rift protects the board and halts opposing win attempts, allowing the deck to close the game with unblockable combat damage by Turn 7.
