Lagoon Traffic Control by ApprenticeLarge

Format: Commander

Commander: Archelos, Lagoon Mystic

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Archelos, Lagoon Mystic runs a Sultai Gates/landfall hybrid. The primary plan is to keep Archelos untapped so lands, especially Gates, enter untapped, then use Scapeshift or Reshape the Earth to put Maze's End plus nine different Gates into play, and activate Maze's End for the tenth Gate. Secondary paths are landfall beatdown from Gatebreaker Ram, Gate Colossus, Avenger of Zendikar, and Greensleeves/Scute Swarm. Nine-Fingers Keene functions as a hidden commander and backup Gate tutor, while Aesi and Tatyova convert land drops into cards. The deck is not a fast combo deck; it wins by assembling a critical mass of Gates through repeated land tutoring.
