Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue Wizard tribal combo-control deck commanded by Azami, Lady of Scrolls. The primary game plan uses cheap Wizards and mana acceleration to deploy Azami by Turn 4, immediately converting every Wizard on the battlefield into instant-speed card draw. This overwhelming card advantage quickly unearths game-winning combo pieces while holding up dense countermagic and interactive bounce spells. On Turn 5, the deck deploys Mind Over Matter, drawing through the entire library by repeatedly tapping Azami and discarding cards to untap her, then generating mana to resolve Thassa's Oracle for an immediate same-turn victory. If the primary line is contested, the deck seamlessly transitions into backup win conditions, including Isochron Scepter with Dramatic Reversal, Paradigm Shift with Thassa's Oracle, or an oppressive hard lockout using Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir and Knowledge Pool. With heavy countermagic, uncounterable protection, and repeatable creature-based control, the deck dominates the table.
