Deck overview

The Ur-Dragon leads a five-color Dragon battlecruiser deck. The primary plan is to ramp into The Ur-Dragon, use its eminence discount to chain Dragons, and turn attacks into card advantage and free permanents. Secondary paths include reanimating Dragons with Fearsome Awakening, Unburial Rites, Haunting Voyage, and Bladewing the Risen, and burning opponents with Dragon Tempest, Scourge of Valkas, Terror of the Peaks, and Warstorm Surge. Scion of the Ur-Dragon acts as a hidden commander, tutoring Dragons to the graveyard and copying them for toolbox value. The deck wins through combat, usually multiplying damage with Atarka, World Render or Sylvia Brightspear, rather than through combos.
