Deck overview

This is an Abzan lifegain/reanimator engine built around Betor, Ancestor's Voice. The commander turns life gained into +1/+1 counters and life lost into repeatable end-step recursion, so the deck runs pain lands, Necropotence, Ad Nauseam, and Bolas's Citadel to feed the loss side. Secondary paths use drain payoffs-Sanguine Bond, Enduring Tenacity, Defiling Daemogoth, Syr Konrad-to convert that life into damage, plus a Karmic Guide/Reveillark/Protean Hulk package for combo-style recovery. There is no hidden commander; the double-faced and prepared cards act as extra tutors, reanimation, and drain spells rather than a second build-around. The deck wins by grinding value early and then exploding with a large Exsanguinate or Aetherflux Reservoir turn.
