Deck overview

This deck is an Abzan Hatebear Stax and Combo strategy commanded by Tayam, Luminous Enigma. The game plan deploys low-cost disruptive creatures—such as Archon of Emeria, Drannith Magistrate, and Thalia, Guardian of Thraben—to suppress opponents' mana development and limit them to one spell per turn. Tayam breaks parity on these symmetrical restrictions because its activated ability cheats permanents with mana value 3 or less directly from the graveyard to the battlefield at instant speed without casting spells. The deck accelerates through early mana dorks, distributes counters across its creatures, and transitions into a deterministic infinite combo using Basking Broodscale and Rosie Cotton of South Lane or Saffi Eriksdotter recursion lines. Once infinite tokens and mana are generated, Tayam mills the entire library to recur Blood Artist or Zulaport Cutthroat, draining all three opponents simultaneously for a same-turn win protected by Grand Abolisher and Ranger-Captain of Eos.
