Format: Commander

Commander: The Ur-Dragon

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

The Ur-Dragon deck is a five-color Dragon tribal strategy built around eminence cost reduction and attack-trigger card draw/cheat. It accelerates with artifact fast mana and one-mana dorks, casts The Ur-Dragon on turns 4-5, then uses its attack trigger to refill and deploy extra permanents. The primary finish is the Old Gnawbone + Aggravated Assault extra-combat Treasure loop, with a backup of overwhelming Dragon swarms, Miirym copies, and ETB damage from Dragon Tempest, Scourge of Valkas, and Terror of the Peaks. Tiamat, tutors, and cheat effects assemble the Dragons, while Ugin and targeted removal clear blockers. The commander's role is engine and occasional 10/10 beater; no hidden commander is present.
