Commander: Massacre Girl, Known Killer

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This mono-black deck harnesses the wither mechanic and -1/-1 counters as both a control tool and a card advantage engine, helmed by Massacre Girl, Known Killer. The commander's menace and built-in draw when an opponent's creature with toughness 1 or less dies turns every -X/-X sweeper or wither combat into a refill. The primary game plan revolves around softening the board with mass -1/-1 effects (Toxic Deluge, Black Sun's Zenith, The Meathook Massacre) while generating incremental drain from Blood Artist, Syr Konrad, the Grim, and Vein Ripper. The deck's ultimate win condition is an infinite loop using Yawgmoth, Thran Physician with Nest of Scarabs and Blood Artist to draw the library, pump -1/-1 counters, and drain opponents. Secondary wins come from Gray Merchant of Asphodel devotion or Sanguine Bond with the deck's frequent life gain. It is a grindy, value-oriented control build that exploits death triggers and graveyard recursion.
