Deck overview

This deck is an explosive Izzet Spellslinger and Storm strategy commanded by Vivi Ornitier. Vivi serves as both the primary mana generator and a lethal win condition. Each noncreature spell you cast places a +1/+1 counter on Vivi and deals 1 damage to each opponent. Once Vivi accumulates power, his activated ability converts that power into a massive burst of blue and red mana, effectively acting as a repeatable ritual. The deck leverages cheap cantrips, cost reducers, and trigger multipliers like Harmonic Prodigy and Veyran, Voice of Duality to rapidly grow Vivi and deplete opposing life totals. Card engines such as Curiosity turn every spell cast into three fresh cards, allowing you to storm through your library and finish the table with Guttersnipe or Grapeshot. Robust countermagic and free interaction like Deflecting Swat protect Vivi during the decisive combo turn.
