Deck overview

This deck is a Temur Dragon tribal engine commanded by Ureni of the Unwritten. The strategy focuses on early mana acceleration through land ramp and creature cost reducers, allowing the pilot to cast Ureni on Turn 5. When Ureni enters the battlefield and attacks, it digs eight cards deep to cheat large Dragons into play for free. The deck leverages haste enablers like Dragon Tempest and Temur Ascendancy to generate immediate pressure, while damage multipliers such as Atarka, World Render and direct burn from Scourge of Valkas quickly dismantle opposing life totals. Card draw engines keyed to high-power creatures keep the hand full of resources. While the deck possesses explosive aerial combat potential and strong recovery via redundant high-impact Dragons, its reliance on combat damage over two response cycles leaves it open to well-timed board wipes and spot removal.
