Commander: Toph, the First Metalbender

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Naya artifact-lands deck built around Toph, the First Metalbender's unique static ability, which turns every nontoken artifact into a land. Toph then uses her end-step earthbend trigger to animate lands as hasty creature-lands carrying +1/+1 counters. The plan is to accelerate into Toph, multiply her end-step trigger with Annie Joins Up, Roaming Throne, Strionic Resonator, Lithoform Engine, Peter Parker's Camera, and Kirol, Attentive First-Year, and bury opponents under a growing army of animated lands. That army becomes a one-shot kill via Craterhoof Behemoth, Moonshaker Cavalry, Craterclaw Colossus, or Finale of Devastation. The deck also carries a stax subtheme in Winter Orb, Static Orb, Unwinding Clock, and Blinkmoth Urn, where artifact-lands break parity, plus a one-sided wipe package in Mycosynth Lattice, Darksteel Forge, and Vandalblast.
