Deck overview

This deck executes a Boros Voltron strategy powered by the partner pair of Rograkh, Son of Rohgahh and Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist. Rograkh provides a 0-mana creature with built-in evasion keywords (first strike, menace, trample), while Ardenn bypasses heavy equip costs by attaching all controlled equipment for free at the beginning of combat. By resolving high-impact weapons like Colossus Hammer, Blackblade Reforged, or Kaldra Compleat, the deck quickly creates a lethal commander damage threat as early as Turn 3. Redundant equip-cost reducers such as Bruenor Battlehammer and Puresteel Paladin offer robust backup when Ardenn is contested. Because the deck focuses on single-target combat damage, it eliminates opponents sequentially over several turn cycles. Its main limitations are a low density of reactive interaction, lack of stack protection against board sweepers, and vulnerability to precombat removal before equipment attaches.
