Deck overview

Nico Minoru, Runaway is the deck's central engine. The plan is to develop mana, cast Nico Minoru, Runaway, and use its tap-and-discard ability to cast random nonland cards from the top of the library for free. Each such cast also deals 2 damage to every opponent. Cards such as Jeska's Will, Wrenn's Resolve, Party Thrasher, Chandra, Torch of Defiance, and Valakut Exploration increase the number of cards available from exile. Damage payoffs including Guttersnipe, Coruscation Mage, Keeper of Secrets, Passionate Archaeologist, and Aria of Flame can make those casts matter. The deck has strong burst potential through Mana Geyser, Seething Song, Storm-Kiln Artist, and Crackle with Power, but the complete kill is not assembled reliably. Its interaction is functional, especially against artifacts and blue spells, while Defense Grid helps protect proactive turns. Overall, it is a synergy-driven general-power deck with a high ceiling but inconsistent access and no dependable ordinary finish.
