Deck overview

This deck is a Bant toughness-based aggro deck commanded by Arcades, the Strategist. The core strategy leverages low-cost defender creatures with oversized toughness stats, converting cheap walls into efficient attackers and self-replacing card draw engines. Dense ramp at 1-2 mana ensures Arcades enters the battlefield ahead of curve on Turn 3 or 4. Once operational, the deck chains defenders to draw through the library while building a lethal board presence. Asymmetric sweepers like Slaughter the Strong and Wave of Reckoning decimate opposing boards without harming 0-power defenders. The deck closes games around Turn 5 to 7 using massive combat bursts from Tower Defense, evasion from Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive, or protection and double strike from Akroma's Will. A robust defensive suite featuring Teferi's Protection and Flawless Maneuver shields the board against opposing interaction.
