Deck overview

This Gruul deck is commanded by Vrondiss, Rage of Ancients and combines Dragon tribal synergies with Enrage mechanics. The deck accelerates in the opening turns using efficient mana dorks and ramp spells to deploy Vrondiss alongside damage triggers and ETB draw engines like Garruk's Uprising and Elemental Bond. By damaging Vrondiss via cards like Pyrohemia, combat, or dice rolling, the deck creates a steady army of 5/4 Dragon Spirit tokens. It transitions into a lethal threat by resolving massive Dragon finishers such as Atarka, World Render, Terror of the Peaks, and Utvara Hellkite, doubling damage output and overwhelming the table in the air. A strong suite of indestructible equipment and redirection spells defends key pieces against removal, while mass damage wipes double as board control and token generators.
