Deck overview

This deck is a mono-white combo engine built around Preston, the Vanisher. The primary strategy uses Preston's ability to duplicate nontoken creatures entering the battlefield without being cast. Combining Preston with blink creatures like Felidar Guardian and cheap flickers like Ephemerate creates an infinite loop of 0/1 Illusion tokens, infinite mana from blinking basic lands, and infinite enter-the-battlefield triggers. The deck quickly converts this mana into a win using Walking Ballista or exiling all opposing nonland permanents with Preston's activated ability. A robust suite of creature tutors, including Recruiter of the Guard and Ranger-Captain of Eos, provides consistency across interchangeable win conditions like Heliod, Sun-Crowned with Walking Ballista and Reveillark with Karmic Guide. Resilient defensive tools such as Teferi's Protection and Ranger-Captain shield the critical turn against opposing disruption.
