Deck overview

This Commander deck is a five-color artifact midrange and flicker list commanded by Karn, Gilded Guardian. The core game plan revolves around flooding the battlefield with low-cost colored artifacts across all five colors—including utility creatures like Baleful Strix and Arcbound Mouser—to fuel Karn's enter-the-battlefield trigger, which draws a card for each color among artifacts controlled. Once Karn refuels the hand on Turn 4, the deck leverages flicker engines such as Ephemerate, Displacer Kitten, and Thassa, Deep-Dwelling to repeatedly draw through the library. Victory is achieved through explosive wide-board finishes, primarily by casting Cyberdrive Awakener to turn all noncreature artifacts into 4/4 flying beaters, resolving Tezzeret, Master of the Bridge for massive asymmetric life drain, or overwhelming the board with Urza, Lord High Artificer and Breya, Etherium Shaper. The deck possesses strong recovery and modularity, though it remains inherently susceptible to mass artifact exile and lacks proactive stax pieces.
