Deck overview

This deck is a casual Azorius tempo and flying-aggro list commanded by Elminster. The primary game plan revolves around playing defensive early creatures, landing Elminster on Turn 5, and leveraging scry triggers and planeswalker loyalty abilities to generate flying Faerie Dragon tokens and maintain hand advantage. It attempts to close the game over prolonged combat steps utilizing modest anthem effects like Sprite Noble and Lumen-Class Frigate, or breaking stalemates with Bond of Discipline. The list features high basic land reliance with minimal fast mana acceleration, causing it to operate on a standard turn curve. Interaction consists of tempo-oriented bounce, stun counters, narrow countermagic, and enchantment-based creature exile. Because it produces wide boards of low-power creatures without infinite combos or high-damage burst finishes, it functions as a deliberate, grindy midrange engine that requires multiple combat cycles to eliminate opponents.
