Maha, its Feathers Night by Ravenclawed07

Format: Commander

Commander: Maha, Its Feathers Night

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This mono-black commander deck is built around Maha, Its Feathers Night, whose static ability sets each opponent creature's base toughness to 1. This turns any -1/-1 effect-from Toxic Deluge, The Meathook Massacre, Night of Souls' Betrayal, and a dozen more-into a one-sided board wipe or efficient removal. The deck then closes out via drain triggers from Blood Artist, Massacre Wurm, and The Meathook Massacre; the combo of Ad Nauseam + Doctor Doom, Unrivaled (win if library is empty); or a massive Bolas's Citadel chain. Tutors like Vampiric Tutor and Demonic Tutor find finishers or protection pieces quickly. The commander also brings flying and trample, making it a fine evasion threat alongside the mass destruction. Overall the deck is a value-drain machine that forces opponents to play into -1 board state.
