Format: Commander

Commander: Fire Lord Azula

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Fire Lord Azula is a Grixis firebending extra-combat deck that turns attacks into mana and spell copies. The primary plan is to build a board of firebending creatures, attack with Azula to generate {R}{R} and copy instants and sorceries cast mid-combat, then chain extra combats with Aggravated Assault, Combat Celebrant, Port Razer, Relentless Assault and Full Throttle while retaining red mana with Ashling, Flame Dancer, Electro and Ozai the Phoenix King. Secondary paths win through theft value from Etali, Gonti, Black Cat, Grenzo and Nashi, or burn with Fated Firepower. Azula is the spell-doubling engine, not a combo piece; hidden commanders are Ashling/Electro/Ozai as the mana-retention core and Etali as the independent theft finisher.
