Deck overview

This deck is a focused Mardu battlecruiser strategy piloted by Kaalia of the Vast. The core objective is to accelerate Kaalia onto the battlefield on Turn 3 via two-mana mana rocks, allowing her to attack on Turn 4 and cheat massive, game-warping Angels, Demons, and Dragons directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. The deck features extreme functional redundancy in high-CMC threats, ensuring Kaalia consistently has devastating payloads like Terror of the Peaks, Drakuseth, Maw of Flames, and Avacyn, Angel of Hope. A comprehensive Mardu spot removal suite cleanly handles opposing threats, while soft stax pieces like Archfiend of Depravity and Angelic Arbiter suppress opposing board development. While highly explosive in combat, the deck remains reliant on Kaalia surviving to combat, requiring careful timing against open mana and targeted removal.
