Commander: Don Andres, the Renegade

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a budget Grixis theft deck helmed by Don Andres, the Renegade, rebuilt from the Ahoy Mateys pirate precon around permanent and spell piracy. The plan is to steal opponents' creatures with effects like Zara, Renegade Recruiter, Coercive Recruiter, Hostage Taker, and Act of Treason, then smash in with Don Andres's +2/+2, menace, and deathtouch buffs while casting exiled instants and sorceries for two Treasures each. Pirate tribal remnants (Admiral Beckett Brass, Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator, Admiral Brass, Unsinkable) support combat and recursion, and big finishers Insurrection and Rise of the Dark Realms close games when the table is stocked. There are no infinite combos; wins come from stolen boards, extra combats via Port Razer, and mass reanimation or mass theft. The commander is a strong payoff but not a hard requirement-the 99 already runs a full theft suite.
