Deck overview

This deck is a Jeskai spellslinger strategy centered on Shiko and Narset, Unified. It leverages low-cost cantrips and noncreature spells to trigger the Flurry ability, copying targeted spells or drawing cards on every second spell cast each turn. The early game establishes mana rocks and token producers like Young Pyromancer, Third Path Iconoclast, and Monastery Mentor. Mid-game turns deploy the commander and scaling value engines like Archmage Emeritus, Jeskai Ascendancy, and Storm-Kiln Artist. The deck closes games through compounding combat pressure, chaining multiple cheap spells in a single turn to trigger mass prowess buffs from Balmor, Battlemage Captain and Ascendancy, or burning the table down with Guttersnipe and Caldera Pyremaw. While lacking infinite combos or dedicated tutors, its high cantrip density provides reliable velocity and consistent mid-game board presence.
