Kaalia, Death From Above by Zen0305

Format: Commander

Commander: Kaalia of the Vast

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Kaalia of the Vast tempo-aggro build that cheats high-cost Angels, Demons, and Dragons into play by attacking with Kaalia. The primary plan is a one-shot combat cheat: land Kaalia on turns 3-4, swing, and dump a bomb such as Aurelia, Master of Cruelties, or Ancient Copper Dragon. Secondary plans are extra-combat chains using Aurelia, Scourge of the Throne, Bloodthirster, and Aggravated Assault, plus a Treasure-based infinite-combat loop with Ancient Copper Dragon and The Reaver Cleaver. The deck also has a small meld subtheme with Gisela, the Broken Blade and Bruna, the Fading Light, and strong protection from Avacyn, Flawless Maneuver, and Teferi's Protection. No hidden commander; the named Kaalia is essential.
