Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos big-mana combat and burn strategy led by Ozai, the Phoenix King. Ozai provides both an aggressive 7/7 hasty body and a permanent mana battery by preventing unspent mana from emptying, converting it into stored red mana that persists across all phases and turns. Once six mana is accumulated, Ozai gains indestructible and flying, turning into an evasive, highly resilient threat. The deck leverages this floating mana reservoir to deploy devastating damage multipliers such as Fiery Emancipation and Gratuitous Violence, or to fund explosive extra combat steps via Aggravated Assault and Savage Beating. Supported by independent heavy hitters like Smaug the Impenetrable and Terror of the Peaks, the deck steadily scales its battlefield power to eliminate opponents through overwhelming combat and noncombat damage.
