Deck overview

This Izzet deck focuses on mana acceleration, artifact selection, and explosive combat steps commanded by Tony Stark // The Invincible Iron Man. In the early turns, the deck establishes mana rocks and cost reducers while using Tony Stark's activated ability to dig for high-impact artifacts. On Turn 5, Tony transforms into a 5/5 flying creature with haste and immediately cheats massive threats such as Excalibur, Sword of Eden, Blightsteel Colossus, Kaldra Compleat, or Darksteel Forge onto the battlefield at the start of combat. A robust suite of free and efficient countermagic protects the commander during the sorcery-speed transform window. Secondary win paths include an infinite combat loop with Aggravated Assault and The Reaver Cleaver, scaling Construct tokens from Simulacrum Synthesizer, and an animated artifact alpha strike via Cyberdrive Awakener.
