Deck overview

Cloud, Midgar Mercenary is a mono-white Equipment engine that searches out an Equipment on entry and doubles triggered abilities of Cloud and attached Equipment while equipped. The primary plan is to suit Cloud with Buster Sword, Genji Glove, Champion's Helm, and Sword of the Realms, then use doubled extra-combat triggers and double strike to end opponents through commander damage. A secondary soldier/token plan runs through Myrel, the Elspeth planeswalkers, and True Conviction. Late-game backups include Approach of the Second Sun plus Reprieve and Summon: Bahamut's Mega Flare. The deck is dense with tutors, equip-cost reducers, and protective Equipment, but its mana base is deliberately light.
