Deck overview

This deck is a Bant stompy and +1/+1 counters list commanded by Helga, Skittish Seer. The strategy accelerates on Turns 1 and 2 with efficient mana dorks to deploy Helga early. Starting on Turn 3, casting creatures with mana value 4 or greater or {X} spells triggers Helga to draw cards, gain life, and grow in power. As Helga's power scales, she taps for massive bursts of mana to chain multiple high-impact threats in a single turn. Cards like Railway Brawler, Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma, and Surrak and Goreclaw grant haste, trample, and stat doubling to convert this mana advantage into game-ending combat pressure. A dense suite of 1-mana protection spells and countermagic keeps Helga and key attackers safe from opposing interaction while fueling untap triggers.
