Deck overview

This Commander deck is an aggressive Boros Soldier tribal list commanded by Commander Mustard. The primary game plan revolves around flooding the battlefield with low-cost Soldier creatures and token generators such as Hanweir Garrison, Anim Pakal, Thousandth Moon, Hero of Bladehold, and Horn of Gondor. Once a critical mass of creatures is established, Commander Mustard grants the entire army vigilance, trample, and haste, allowing immediate high-pressure combat steps. Mass anthems and damage multipliers including Shared Animosity, Coat of Arms, Blade Historian, and Warleader's Call accelerate the clock, allowing the deck to close games around Turn 7. The list is supported by defensive shields like Boromir, Warden of the Tower, Frontline Medic, and Akroma's Will to protect against sweepers, alongside Myrel, Shield of Argive to shut down opposing interaction during combat. Its main limitations stem from restricted card draw velocity and vulnerability to non-destroy board wipes.
