Deck overview

This deck is a focused Mardu combat strategy centered on Kaalia of the Vast. Its primary goal is to accelerate Kaalia out on Turn 3 using two-mana artifacts or rituals, then attack on Turn 4 to cheat massive Dragons and Demons directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. Payoffs like Master of Cruelties provide single-player knockout potential, while Utvara Hellkite, Ancient Copper Dragon, and Terror of the Peaks establish overwhelming aerial boards. Damage doublers such as Twinflame Tyrant and attack multipliers like Isshin, Two Heavens as One amplify combat pressure. The deck backs up its aggression with asymmetric sweepers like Crux of Fate and targeted removal, though it relies heavily on Kaalia surviving to bypass high casting costs. Without her, the deck shifts to hardcasting mid-game threats.
