Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius engine deck commanded by Bard, King of Dale, designed to exploit card draw triggers and token duplication. By pairing low-cost artifact ramp with engines like Rhystic Study, Trouble in Pairs, and Shorikai, Genesis Engine, the deck quickly draws into high-impact token creators. Once Bard enters on Turn 5, every non-draw-step card draw and token creation event is doubled. Threat onset arrives on Turn 6 through exponentially growing swarms from Homunculus Horde or anthem-boosted tokens from Caretaker's Talent and Elspeth, Storm Slayer. The deck typically closes games through aerial combat by Turn 8, with an incidental infinite combo in Astral Dragon and Dance of Many serving as a backup finish. While soft taxes generate treasure and cards, the deck remains vulnerable to board wipes due to its reliance on untapping with non-hasty creatures.
