Deck overview

This deck is a Jund lands-matter and sacrifice midrange deck piloted by Szarel, Genesis Shepherd. The strategy leverages lands entering, leaving, and returning from the graveyard to generate massive creature boards, pump attackers, and drain the table. In the early turns, the deck accelerates mana using efficient ramp spells, fetchlands, and land-sacrifice enablers like Zuran Orb and Crop Rotation. Once Szarel or a redundant land engine like Conduit of Worlds is established, every sacrificed land provides recurring value while growing creatures with +1/+1 counters. The deck transitions into lethal pressure around Turn 6 by casting mass recursion spells like Splendid Reclamation or landfall powerhouses like Titania, Protector of Argoth, Omnath, Locus of Rage, and Moraug, Fury of Akoum. It finishes games on Turn 7 via overwhelming trample attacks or direct non-combat life loss from Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord and Ob Nixilis, the Fallen.
