Deck overview

This mono-black deck is centered on Ghoulcaller Gisa, converting undercosted, high-power creatures into massive armies of 2/2 Zombie tokens. Cards like Phyrexian Dreadnought, Rotting Regisaur, Kalakscion, Hunger Tyrant, and Phyrexian Soulgorger serve as premier sacrifice fodder, instantly yielding 7 to 12 Zombies for a single black mana. Once the token engine comes online, the deck leverages potent aristocrat payoffs like Ayara, First of Locthwain, Bastion of Remembrance, Plague Belcher, and Mirkwood Bats to drain opponents whenever creatures enter or die. In parallel, Zombie lords such as Undead Warchief and Death Baron pump the token swarm for decisive combat swings, while Noxious Ghoul provides asymmetric board control by shrinking non-Zombie creatures with each token created. Supported by deep reanimation, burst card draw via Skullclamp and Undead Augur, and big mana engines like Cabal Coffers, the deck applies relentless pressure and quickly overwhelms the table.
