Deck overview

This Golgari deck merges explosive Elf tribal ramp with an oppressive -1/-1 counter attrition engine led by High Perfect Morcant. In the early turns, it deploys low-cost mana dorks to accelerate into Morcant on turn 3 or 4. Once on the battlefield, every subsequent Elf triggers Blight, placing -1/-1 counters on opposing creatures and steadily decimating opposing utility creatures and commanders. Proliferate abilities from Morcant and support cards accelerate this board control while cards like Generous Patron convert distributed counters into massive card draw. The deck finishes games either through a traditional Elfball overrun using Ezuri, Renegade Leader, Elvish Warmaster, or Haldir, Lórien Lieutenant, or through an infinite death-trigger loop with Blowfly Infestation and Nest of Scarabs alongside drain effects like Obelisk Spider or Poison-Tip Archer.
